Fabric Book Art

In this class I will be teaching a coptic binding and a loop binding technique. We will be using plaster fabric pages to make the book. I will show you mixed media painting techniques and making luscious borders for your pages.

There will be 5 painting videos, 16 videos in all.

4 1/2 hours of videos!

You will have two completed books and many cool techniques on how to fill your pages

This is an extensive supply list. Please don't feel you have to purchase all of these supplies. You really just need fabric, wood, waxed linen to make the books. You will also need either Venetian Plaster (at Home Depot) or joint compound (you can get at any hardware store). Feel free to use your mixed media supplies you have on hand. I wanted you to see all of my supplies and you can add as you go as you wish.

WOOD:

masonite 1/8" thick or plywood 1/4". I cut my wood down to  6" x 8" pieces for my book cover. You can use any type of wood. I purchased mine at Home Depot and they cut my pieces.

You can also check Michaels or any craft store. Michaels has a section called  Craft Wood Center and they have different sizes of plywood to purchase.
